A new sneak peek was released for the next episode! It features Michonne out on her own after she left Alexandria to “figure things out” in episode 5. I can’t wait to see what she’s up to!
Indiewire reported this week that Jessica Chastain is set to produce a drama based on the true story of the Black Mambas, an all-female group who combat poaching in South Africa, written by Danai Gurira. Jessica Chastain best known for her acting work, appearing recently in “The Huntsman: Winter’s War” and “Miss Sloane.” There is no news just yet on who might direct or star in the project. This is breaking news and the project is in early development, so the details could change, but I’m really excited about this! Very happy to see these two talented women work together!

Danai Gurira, who was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play earlier this year for Eclipsed, was among the honorees at the Theatre Communications Group (TCG)’s Annual Gala on November 14th in New York! Danai was chosen for the honor for her accomplishments and work in theatre, along with Tony-nominated Broadway producers Stephen C. Byrd and Alia Jones-Harvey, and the Vilcek Foundation and Rick Kinsel. For decades, the Theatre Communications Group’s mission has been to “strengthen, nurture, and promote the professional not-for-profit American theatre.”
I’ve got some pictures and a red carpet interview from the event, below, along with a blurb from her speech and a few links to press coverage. Congrats to Danai for the incredible honor!
I’ve got some high quality stills of Danai as Michonne from The Walking Dead episode 4, “Service.” View more in the gallery.
SPOILERS AHEAD! How’d you like tonight’s episode? It was good but it was so emotionally draining to see Rick and Michonne down like this! Here are some clips for next week’s episode. Danai is not in the preview but she is featured in the sneak peek.
